Next Friday (06), Curitiba hosts the first edition of the party ‘Inferninho Trabalho Sujo’, a project created by journalist Alexandre Matias, based on his trajectory as a researcher and curator of São Paulo’s independent music scene. The event takes place at Macro Bar e Pista.
The night will bring together three bands from Curitiba: Feralkat, Wi Fi Kills, 3x. In addition to the performances, the event will also feature a vinyl set by Selecta Manzana and a digital back to back set by Alexandre Matias and Fernanda Maldonado. The audience will be able to enjoy styles such as garage punk, dream pop, synth pop, noise, and post-punk.
More than an extension of Matias’s journalistic work, Inferninho Trabalho Sujo focuses on presenting new artists from Brazil’s independent music scene. Conceived nearly three years ago, the party was born from the perception that, after the paralysis imposed by the pandemic, a great wave of bands began to emerge. Inferninho seeks precisely to map and present names that are breaking out in this decade.
The realization of Inferninho Trabalho Sujo in Curitiba, the first edition in the city, is led by Macro’s creative director and curator, Gustavo Bauer; journalist and cultural researcher Fernanda Maldonado; and selector, curator, and music researcher Márcia Manzana, known as Selecta Manzana.
