The 2026 Oscars ceremony is this Sunday (15/03) and, as the date approaches, Brazil’s cheering for the film “O Agente Secreto” by Kleber Mendonça Filho and for actor Wagner Moura keeps growing. So much so that options have started popping up to watch the awards with a full-on World Cup vibe, celebrating far from the couch. Thus, to make life easier for those who still don’t know whether to go out or stay in, but are sure that Brazilian cinema owes nothing to Hollywood’s talent, Plural has listed places that will broadcast the event in Curitiba. There will be a street screening with a popular party vibe, a movie theater, bars, and parties (watch parties). See below and make your choice.
Cinemas
Cine Passeio
This is the second time the Oscars ceremony will be shown on the cinema’s facade. And the party may be even bigger than last year, when around 5,000 people came out to cheer on Rua Riachuelo and the surrounding area, according to city hall data.
The street party is on Sunday (15), starting at 20h, at Rua Riachuelo, 410 - Centro. No admission is charged. More information, here.
